Who We Are:
We are a community of open hearts and inquiring minds seeking to live out God's inclusive love in Hanford California and the Central Valley. Reflecting Christ's example of fellowship and service, we strive to nurture all people in body, mind and spirit.
We are young, old, middle-aged, married, single, partnered, gay, straight, with and without children.
Some of us were born Episcopalians and others of us had little or no idea what the Episcopal Church was about before we got here.
We are best known for our welcoming spirit, our vital Soup Kitchen Ministry and our beautiful historical campus.
The Church of the Saviour has served the people of Hanford for more than 130 years and the essence of the church's mission has changed little over those years. It is a lively place of music, worship, service and education.
The life of the Church of the Saviour begins with regular worship. We are shaped as a community by gathering each week to pray and sing, to hear the Word proclaimed and to share in the bread and wine at the Eucharist.
We Are Part Of:
The Episcopal Diocese of San Joaquin which comprises 19 parishes and missions in Central California.
The Episcopal Church which welcomes all who worship Jesus Christ in 109 dioceses and three regional areas in 16 nations.
The Anglican Communion the third largest Christian communion in the world, with 80 million+ members.
